Classic Car Insurance Quotes

No matter what sort of insurance you’re interested in, there are a number of ways in which you can get a quote: in person, by phone or mail, or online. Get a no cost car insurance quote on line here. Companies specializing in vintage and/or antique car insurance, although they provide somewhat different services such as flexible rates based on mileage and coverage extending to things like car shows and other events, are no different.

These days, most insurance companies offer simple and quick online quote services. You’ll generally be asked to enter a range of data in order to receive an accurate quote. First, you’ll enter basic information such as date of birth and location data, possibly including the registration location of the vehicle as well as the location where it will be garaged.

After this, you’ll probably be required to input pertinent information regarding the automobile itself. This usually includes the make, model and year. You may also be required to choose from a series of types of vehicle: car, truck, motorcycle, tractor, and so on. Most companies specializing in vintage auto insurance offer coverage based on an agreed valuation, in which cases you will need to enter the value of the car, as well as whether it is stock, modified, a replica or otherwise. Many insurers will, with some restrictions, offer a certain number of choices as to what sort of deductible you want. Information concerning the garage in which the car is stored, mileage, and more may also be requested.

Your quote will be revealed after all information has been submitted. For example, a hypothetical stock 1962 Mercedes-Benz 190SL registered in Florida worth $60,000 was given these quotes from classic car insurance companies: Hagerty - $509; Grundy - $429.25; American Collectors - $427.18. Note that these quotes contain much greater detail than just the annual fees. They usually explain liability details, and most provide you with the opportunity to look at a detailed summary of the items contributing to the total price. With some insurers, you have the chance to register online and save a quote, so that you can come back and apply officially for insurance .

It generally takes just a few minutes to obtain a quote online, regardless of the uniqueness of your vehicle. For the classic car owner, it’s definitely worth the effort to take that time to compare quotes and find out where the best value can be found. Pick up a free auto insurance quote online here.

Great post! I think a lot of people underestimate the savings they can make by changing to specialty insurance like Hagerty or Grundy. Getting a quote from a firm like that can be really revealing. I recommend everyone who owns a classic car at least investigate it.
