Health insurance plans provided by the government is generally on a state or nationwide level. example would be Medicare which is a nationwide plan. Medicare is available for those people over 65 years of age and also is available to handicapped people. Some other types of government assisted health care plans include Medicaid which is contingent on income level, health and care for veterans and children’s health programs.
